Aeronautical Engineering department was started in 1998 in this Institution and it is the first of its kind in the self financing engineering college affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. The department was started with strong mission to promote aerospace related activities especially in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering practice and Aircraft design. B.E., Aeronautical Engineering curriculum is designed in such a way that it will educate and develop Aircraft designers, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who will lead the Aircraft industry of the country in the future.Regarding the infrastructure and educational facilities, we are in the process of setting up of Aerodynamics, Aircraft Structures, A/C Propulsion,Aero Engine repairs and Maintenance Practice Laboratories.
This department is also supported by other laboratories like Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Electrical and Computer laboratories.We are also planning to tie up with India's prestigious organizations like ISRO, NAL, DRDL ,DGCA,and different airlines for training of our students.
