The great strides in development, the country has taken since independence is naturally reflected in the massive construction activity and growth of our towns and cities. The complexities of rapid urbanization, population explosion, degradationof environment and the problems of rural habitat, demand the skill and knowledge of vast number of professionals and specialists trained to tackle issues, concerned with human settlement.
The Department of Architecture was established in the year 1993 with the aim of producing through-bred professional Architects from the rural youth. An Architect needs to possess all aspects of modern building technology to combine aesthetic look and effective functional comfort to suit the needs of individuals and groups in society.A talented team of professional teachers and practicing Architects prepares our students to face challenges of the industry with close coordiantion with the local chapter of the Indian Institute of Architects. We take them to places, bring professionals to the campus to interact students, participate in events, conduct seminars, presentation and the like to make them hardcore professional Architects.
