MSEC is the only college in Madurai Kamaraj University providing Chemical Engineering. The
Chemical engineering department of Mohamed Sathak Engineering College is accomplished with highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty both industries and in academic to teach the principles in chemical engineering.

A process control laboratory is the unique feature of this department. Latest computerised training facilities are made available in the process control laboratory to train the young chemical engineers to cope up with the latest trend in distributed control system (DCS) in the chemical process industries.

Well established laboratory facilities are also available in the field of mass transfer chemical reaction engineering, mechanical operations, thermal engineering, etc. The latest equipments such as fluid bed drier, Fluidisation, Adsorption tower, Distillation, Evaporation, Extraction CSTR, Crystallization, Vacuum and pan druying system are available in these laboratories for carrying out numerous experiments in the field of chemical engineering and thermal engineering.
