The department started in 1995,has well qualified faculty specialized in the field of Power Elecctronoics and Drives,Energy Conversation,Electrical Machines,Appied Electronics,Power System Enginnering and Instrumentation and control.They provide a strong conceptual foundation in the field of Electronics and Electrical.It also assist the students by motivating excellence beyond the formal carriculam like paper presantation in technical seminars and the like.

The department also having high quality testing and measuring instruments like Analog and Digital Multi-meters, CRO's, Function generators, ICtestors , Rectifiers, Different type of machine like SinglePhase Induction Motor , 3 Phase Induction Motors, Synchronousmachine, DCmachienes, ACmachienes, Digital Trachometer etc and microprocessor based controlling instruments.
